Poles at Apex

Been to CMP many times over the past 5 years and I'm really curious about the "poles" at the apex of all the turns. Does anyone know what their purpose is? I've not seen them at any other road course.

From the perspective of a motorcycle rider, I would also like to say the recent changes (day garages, paddock paving, and course renovations) have greatly improved the experience there.

Front brakes,Sealed Rotax Fr125 with about 8 hours since freshened (includes passport), New clutch sprocket, drum, shoes, springs and hardware with about 4 hours on them, New Mychron 4 and steering wheel. 15 in. Deepseat ,new battery, 2 sets wheels/tires. Teflon coated exhaust. Spares include;
15-219 sprockets, 2 chains, rear hubs, Rotax battery charger, jets,more misc. parts, engine and chassis manual.

I also have a Sharkshifter road race belt drive set-up for road racing including driver for rotax clutch drum with 17 and 18 driver gears and 4 rear gears (66,68,70,72), and 3 belts-this setup used only once.

Hello Everyone!

I wanted to create a topic for our upcoming Redline Time Attack event on August 8th-9th.

The event is open to EVERYONE, all skill levels, all makes and models, all clubs, etc. Saturday is an HPDE and Open Test & Tune day. Sunday is practice, qualifying and time attack (time trial) racing.

Saturday we have the NOPI Car Show Series hosting a large car show, after event DJ, Music, Models, etc.

Just wanted to introduce myself. I have been looking for a road course to possibly attend track days once in a while. CMP looks very nice.

I have a passion for the Honda CRX. My current CRX is a '90 Si. I plan on updated the suspension with Tokico Illiminas and a Eibach pro kit sometime in the near future.

hello everyone! im new and id like to come check out the track sometime! im from waxhaw and this track isn't far at all!!!...how convenient! so whats the scoop on how to get some track days in?

I drive a 98 bmw 328 with some goodies and id like to start tracking it soon...it looks like a BLAST!

Well, we pulled off another one. We had a really great turn out. Thank you to everybody that came out.

It was good day. Everyone stayed safe, and we only have Joe to make fun of.

After the turn out we had, I am suggesting to everyone to pre enter from now on. We were full, and we don't want to have to turn people away, but we do have to make sure we run a safe day and provide plenty of quality track time for everyone. Remember, we limit our group to 30 riders.

Thank you to Hopper, Kenny and Josh for helping me make sure everything ran smoothly.

Let us know any comments you have about the days and we hope to see you all out there again with us.

These tires have 200 track miles on them while they were mounted on a 2002 Miata. Started as unshaved tires with 6/32 tread depth and currently have at least 5/32 tread depth (15% wear from new). Tires are located at the track so no shipping cost. Cost new was $187 per tire plus shipping.
