OK, I'm confused. there were kids racing 4 cycle Briggs and kids racing c51 2 cycle. is a 4 stroke class is a next level up from comer c51 class? Or its a same age class with different engine? i know size of chassis is a little different. my son will be racing a kart before too long and im just trying to weigh out my options. some say get a kid kart some say get a cadet. let me know what yall think?!

Racers Don't get turned away at CMP. Both the Comer and LO 206 have been on the track at the same time. The class, for the series, this past year was the Comer. However, next year could be either one or both. The points are displayed with a V for all participants. The point of that young class is to get seat time. If it was me, I'd go with a Jr LO 206 setup because the cost is far less. Average cost for a LO 206 with a Max Torque clutch (as stated required by Briggs rules) is just over $600 compared to a Comer engine alone at $900-$1200. Also the LO 206 is about 1-2 seconds faster per lap at CMP. If I was you I'd be talking to directly to Dave about including the LO 206 specifically in the PowerAde Series for next year.

They start at age 5 with a Jr LO 206 which has a 3100 RPM Rev Limiter in the Coil and a longer slide in the carb to restrict fuel intake.
