Hey guys, looking to dust off the 'ol Rotax and get back into karting, and I have been slowly freshening her up.  I can't wait to check out the CMP track.

Question is:  do I need to have a full-width rear bumper to run at CMP for open practice?  I assume the answer is YES for a race?  Metal bumper allowed or plastic only?  Still trying to figure out all of these new rules after 3 years out of the sport.  Thanks

Mark, I´ll be glad to help you. I don´t think you need that bumper for open practice, but very probably you´ll need it for races, specially if you are running Rotax classes. I live in Union, so I think I don´t live far from you at all, and I am at most CMP races, though I´m spending a couple of months in my home country (Spain), but I´ll be back by the end of July or beginning of August. Good luck and let me know if you need help. I´m racing clones at CMP, but I have raced every kind of  2 cycles on asphalt before in Europe and in the US, and I have also raced 4 cycles on  dirt too.

Thanks for the response, Santiago.  That is the word I have received from another member as well.  Union is only about 40 minutes south from me.  Look forward to meeting you at the track!
